CROQUET

TE AWAMUTU CLUB. The monthly social for members of the Croquet Club took place on Wednesday at Mrs J. O'Sullivan's residence in Teasdale Street, about 80 members were present and all spent a very enjoyable afternoon. Progressive euchre was played and Mrs H. C. Rainey was the prize-win-ner. The luckv number prize went to Mrs D. McArthur. A dainty afternoon tea was served and a vote of thanks was accorded Mr 3 O'Sullivan for her hospitality. The September social is to be hpV at Mrs H. Y Collins' residence. This will probablv be the las*- of the season's gatherings, and will be held in the evening instead of the afternoon as formerlv.
