(Own Correspondent.) The young people of the district have been very busy lately laying out a tennis aourt in the hall grounds. “ Working bees ” have been in evidence on many fine week-ends, blasting out rock, levelling the ground, and netting the court. It is now almost completed, and will be opened shortly. It should supply a much-felt want among the young people. At a recent meeting the settlers decided to write to the member for the district to try to get an unemployment camp established here to help eradicate the noxious weeds, especially ragwort. Four pupils sat for the proficiency examination. Lydia Dassler and Jeap Heron were successful in gaining their proficiency certificates, and Cyril Parkinson and Kelson Tripe obtained competency. Mr Adcock has disposed of his farm to Mr Russell.
