DRESSED AS A WOMAN
MAN IN PICTURE THEATRE. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. "He was fully dresesd in ladies' apparel, even to a lipstick and powder puff," said Detective Sergeant Nuttall concerning Herman Leonard Follers, who was charged in the Police Court to-day with being an idle and disorderly person in that he wore women s apparel. Detective Sergeant Nuttall said that last night Follers attended one of the local theatres dressed as a woman. The theatre staff became suspicious and communicated with the police. Detectives went to the-theatre and located] accused and after he left the theatre Uihey followed him. ■ l Jg r . T n reply to the magistrate accused said he did it for a wager. A man bet him 10s he was not game to go to the pictures dressed as a woman. He borrowed the clothes'from a friend. The magistrate: Well, it looks as if the wager was not worth taking when you see where it has landed you. The magistrate said he would like further information about accused before dealing with him. It might have been a harmles prank, or it might have been something more sinister. Accused was remanded until Satur- ... day. ' . ■ .
