MOTORISTS KILLED

SKID ON LOOSE METAL. CAR HITS TELEGRAPH POLE. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. Two men were killed this morning when a car which was coming to Dunedin from Pembroke apparently skidded in some loose metal at Clarendon, near Milton, and ran across the road into a telegraph pole. Mr John Fraser, married, manager at Oamaru for Wright, Stephenson & Coy. Ltd., and William Cooper, married, taxi proprietor of Mosgiel, were both’ killed. There were two others in the car, Messrs Charles Harry Leith and Cecil Hazlett, and both escaped injury. The car was being driven by Mr Leith at the time of the accident. Mr John Fraser was one of the bestknown residents of North Otago.
