BOROUGH POLITICS.
Sir, —What has become of the Ratepayers’ Association that was formed with so much gusto a year ago? Was its object, as many imagined, just to give some a step up into the Council? If ever the Ratepayers’ Association should be “ up and doing ” it is now, with valuation of the borough closing at the end of the month. If it sleeps through a question like this we should observe the fact and remember hoiy to greet its officials next election time. —I am, etc., .SCEPTIC.
