ALLEGED BURGLARY
OFFENCE AT KJHIKIHI. '" At the local Court tihs morning a native named Te. Korehu Ahipu, alias Te Ahipu, alias Tu Korehu, alias Ter'iro Rahitonui, was brought before Mr W. Jeffery, J.P., to answer a charge that .pn 26th October, 1926, at Kihikihi, he did break and enter the dwelling house of one Herbert Edward Sexton by day, and, did steal therefrom one man's English Rother.ham watch and one woman's gold bangle* of a total value of £l2 10s, the property of the said H .E. Sexton. Constable Doyle stated that as the accused had been arrested only last night he would apply for a remand until Friday, by which time he hoped to be able to proceed. The remand was accordingly granted.
Korehu is a full-blooded Maori, of about 35 years ofage, and has recently been residing near the Puniu bridge on the Kihikihi-Otorohanga Road.
