A TARANAKI JERSEY FOR NEW SOUTH WALES. Messrs Wright Stephenson anti Co. Ltd., announce 'the‘sale of the rising one year old stud Jersey sire Oaklands Brampton Boy, on account of Mr F. W. Cornwall, Bell Block, Taranaki, to Mr H. N. Doyle, New South W r ales. This young Sire was awarded second prize at the Taranaki Metropolitan A. and P. Show held at New Plymouth last March. ‘ He is sired by Brampton Merry Boy (Imp.), whose sire Brampton Radiator is a double descendant of Stockwe'll, which sold for £2300, and was a celebrated son of the famous Oxford Lad; his dam has a Canadian record of 6SOI b butterfat and is sire by' the 1 noted Viola’s Bright Prince, winner of reserve championships and many first prizes for get of sire. The dam of Oakland’s Brampton Boy is the great show and dairy cow Oakland’s Lindazle, which lias a c.o.m. of 552.071 b fat at 3 years 60 days. 'She is one of the noted daughters of her famous sire, Holly Bank Squire, one of the Dominion’s leading sires of show ring and c.o.m. progeny. He has 16 c.o.m. daughters with an average production of 523.56 lb fat at 2 years 326 days, and has sired many noted champions, among them Oakland’s Princess, champion at Stratford and New Plymouth, and Oakland’s Bell Mahone, champion at New Plymouth Avhen only three years old. It is noteworthy that Holly Bank Squire was awarded reserve champion and also won first prize with three of his daughters at the last Taranaki metropolitan show when in his twelfth year.
