ALL BLACKS’ TOUR

LUCAS NOT AVAILABLE.

(By Telegraph. Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday.

P. Lucas, of Auckland, has notified the New Zealand Rugby Union that he cannot make the trip with the football team to Australia. It is questionable whether Nicholls will be able to play in Wednesday’s match, AH Blacks v. Wellington, as he is still suffering from a strain to the muscles of his back received in the North v. South match.

A Christchurch telegram this morning states that Mr S. S. Dean, chairman of the management committee of the N.Z. Rugby Union, announces that Brown, of Taranaki, replaces Lucas in the All Black team for Australia.
