SPEED AND DRUNKENNESS
VIGILANCE COMMITTEES NEEDED. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. That vigilance committees should be appointed to combat the speed motoring menace, was the decision of the Council of the United Burgesses’ Association. One speaker said that magistrates had said they were going to send drunken motorists to gaol, but they had gone back on that.
