THEFT FROM EMPLOYERS
TOO FREQUENT
(By Telegraph. Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday.
Jack Gibbs, aged 24, was sentenced to four months’ gaol by the magistrate this morning on charges of stealing £77 collected by him on behalf of the Canterbury Freezing Workers’ Union. The magistrate said theft from employers was becoming too frequent.
