MAIL CAR BURNED

NO MAILS LOST. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) HASTINGS, Friday. Yesterday a motor mail bus, owned by Messrs Graham and Gebbie, of Hastings, while endeavouring to pass a load of wool at a sharp bend in the road .to ;Whana, went off the highway, fell over a small declivity, and upset. The vehicle took fire, and was totally destroyed. It was insured for £3OO, but was valued at £I2OO. There were no passengers. The mails were saved. The same firm had a similar loss last week, when one of their motor lorries was burned at Crownthorpe. It was insured for £4OO.
