A BIGAMOUS MARRIAGE

AUCKLAND, Friday. An echo of the. conviction for bigamy, and sentence of 18 months passed on Ernest Harold McLean, in July, 1923, was heard at'the Supreme Court to-day, when prisoner’s wife petitioned for a decree of nullity. Mr Justice Herdman was on the Bench. Rita Mabel McLean, a young woman, who was represented by Mr J. J. Sullivan, said she married McLean in January, 15)22. There were two children. Subsequently she learned that McLean had married previously, in New Zealand. A decree was issued declaring the marriage null and void.
