TWO DUNEDIN INQUESTS
(By Telegraph. Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday.
William Ross, a seaman, was found dead on the railway near Purakanui on ugust 14, and the coroner to-day returned a verdict that death was due to a compound fracture of the skull, caused by deceased falling from the Christchurch-Dunedin express. At the inquest on George Webster, a greaser on the Ruahine, aged 53, a verdict was returned that death was "due to concussion, caused by falling down a companion ladder. Deceased belonged to London.
