OVERDUE INTEREST
NGARUAWAHIA TO PAY UP. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) NGARUAWAHIA, Friday. Last night a largely attended meeting of ratepayers and electors, convened by the Mayor, was held to dis<cuss the payment of interest claimed by John Burns and Co., in accordance with an arrangement made with the Council in settlement of an account. The Mayor and-ex-Mayor gave a full explanation of the position after which the meeting almost unanimously passed a resolution requesting the Council to pay the amount claimed.
