MOTOR CAR DESTROYED.

LOSS BY FIRE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MAROMAKU, Wednesday. A Maxwell motor oar used by Mr Arthur Ft. Foster, of Kawakawa. wai destroyed by fire on the road near Towai this afternoon. Mr Foster etated that he was proceeding from Whangarei to Kawakawa, and tlhe engine kept giving trouble by missing, and suddenly 'back fired; a sheet of flame swept under the car, and he was powerless to stop the outbreak. The car was a late model, recently renovated. There was a small insurance on it, but the loss will be heavy.
