MOTOR CAR ABLAZE.

ON HAMILTON ROAD. Lust evening a blaze occurred on the Ohaupo Road, when a motor car (believed to be a Hamilton taxi) was completely destroyed by fire. The driver and a passenger were proceeding from Te Awamutu to Hamilton Soon alter 8 p.m. when they noticed the car was ablaze. Stopping the car and grabbing a patent fire extinguisher, the driver set to work to effect a save, and there seemed good prospects of success, but with a roar the benzine (from a leaky valve, probably) caught, and soon nothing but the frame work and the cushions remained. it is understood that £SO or £6O had recently been expended in renovating the car, and now it is a total loss.
