ENTERTAINMENTS.
CHAUTAUQUA. A season of four nights is to be given in the Town 'Hall this coming week. This is the fifth annual tour of Chautauqua, and reports to hand indicate that remarkable success has been achieved. The programmes have been received everywhere with enthusiastic appreciation, and the management is confident that Te Awamutu will appreciat to the full the various programmes given. Space does not permit full details of the programme given, but illustrated booklets will be available from the representative this week. The programme includes quartettes and selections from Gilbert and Sullivan, a remarkable recital, specially costumed, dealing with the Orient, the comedy-drama, “The Mollusc,” and the fascinating melodies of the Pacific, Islands, as well as lectures and preludes.
