HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctineerin? Co. Ltd.. Hamilton, report: At Hamilton on Tuesday we had a small entry of sheep and cattle with a little alteration in values from 'last week 't he sheep sold readily enough hut there was not much enquiry for cattle Fat ewes sold at 275, a good pen of fa! lambs 2Ss 6d, good quality forward condition lambs 17s 3d to 18s 3d. young breeding ewes, mostly 2, 4 and 0 tooth 80s, cull ewes 13s to 19s Id. There was another fail yarding of pigs, a number lacking finish. For prime medium to heavy baconers there was strong competition with a further improvement in value. Porkers were not quite so brisk. Slips and unfinished pigs sold fairly well, but weaners were quiet. Heavy baconers sold from £3 15s to £4 4s. medium baconers £3 8s to £3 14s, heavy porkers and light baconers £2 2s’ 6d to £3 6s. light porkers £1 15s to £2, unfinished porkers and slips 25s to 82s Cd. weaners 9s Od to 15s 6d. FRANKTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. repoi t having held their usual weekly stock sale at the central saleyards, Frankton. on Tuesday, 20th March, as under:—Sheep: A moderate yarding. Fat sheep sold at late rates. Medium weight fat wethers made 80s to 325, heavy prime 275, young ewes running with Romney rams 30s, sound mouth ewes running with Romney rams 24s 6d, good store lambs sold at late rates. Cattle: A small yarding. Beefsold at late rates. Good quality cows made £4 5s to £5 ss. The demand for store cattle was very weak, and practically all were passed. Calves and hulls’made late rates. Dairy cows and heifers sold from £4 -5s to £8 10s, according to quality. Pigs: A large * yarding. Fat pigs met with a good demand. Good baconers made £3 5s t.o £3 17s. porkers £2 7s 6d to £2 18s. store pigs 15s to 265, weaners 8s to ,12s.
