NAURU PHOSPHATES.
' A REDUCTION ANNOUNCE®. A further reduction in the price of Nauru and Ocean Island posiphates rock was announced in the House 'of Representatives by the .Minister for Agriculture, who said the c.i.f. price at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, 'Dunedin, and Bluff is to be reduced by 6s 3d per ton, making the neAv price £2 l'2s 6d. This reduction would take effect at once, and with the incoming of cargoes of this lower-priced raw material a fall in the cost of fertilisers to farmers might be looked for. The cost Of the raw 'material from ■Nauru and Ocean Island has been reduced from £4 5s at the beginning of last year to the present figure of £2 12? 3d.
