(By Telegraph.—Press. Association ) WELLINGTON, Friday. Since the tour of the South African footballers applications have been made by Rugby unions to the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union for loans. Prom notification received by the Wellington Rugby Union it is apparent that the parent body has a considerable sum in hand, although no definite announcement has yet been made regarding the financial result of the Africans' tour excepting the report that it was in the vicinity of £IO,OOO. The Wellington Union was informed that the New Zealand Rugby Union was prepared to lend that body a sum of £2250 at 51 per cent. Consideration of the matter was held over until a later date. The New Zealand Rugby Union is still occupied checking accounts in connection with the Springboks' tour.
