INJURIES PROVE FATAL.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) I AUCKLAND, Monday.

Mr James Armistead Craig, who was admitted to the/Auckland Hospital bn Saturday morning suffering from severe spinal injuries, died yesterday afternoon. Deceased was an employee of the City Council <m the maintenance staff, and at the time of the accident he was adjusting insulators on the feeder wires at the top of a centre pole in Customs street. The band supporting the cross-arm slipped, and he fell upon his head and shoulders upon the pavement. An inquest was opened at the morgue this afternoon before the coroner, Mr W. R. Kean, S.M.
