RACING CLUB AFFAIRS.

MEETING OF PIRONGIA CLUB.

ARRANGING NEXT FIXTURE

The adjourned annual meeting of the Alexandra Racing Club was held in the Pirongia library recently. In the unavoidable absence of the president (Mr Potts), Mr J. L. Macky presided. There was a large attendance of racing enthusiasts. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £75 10/, and was adopted. It was decided to apply for a permit to race on Boxing Day next, and it was agreed to follow the same programme as at the last races, which carry stake money amounting to £92. It was also decided to keep the subscription at 7/6. A hard working committee was formed to conclude the arrangements, and given favourable weather the course should be at its best.
