OTOROHANGA SPORTS.
GENERAL ITEMS. Deer have' been discovered on “Chindi” Mr Oudaille’s property. It is surmised that they are the descendants of some plaqed on the east side of Rangitoto some years ago. The preparation of shingle with tar for the town footpaths is going on, and a start with the work will be made at an early date. There are four men under Mr Robert Orrnsby busy preparing the riiaterial. The continued dry weather has again caused the drying up of. tanks, etc., and many householders have to carry water from the river. The painters are at work on the Town Hall and this preliminary to having the building thoroughly cleaned up preparatory to this duty being allocated to the caretaker who has not yet been appointed. Mr and Mrs Oudaille who have been living in Te Awamutu for some time have again taken up their residence at Otorohanga haivng leased Mr Vicary’s- house on the Otewa Road. The meeting in connection with the proposed establishment of a town band in Otorohanga will take place to-morrow evfening at Ithe |Auction Mart. A large representative gathering is looked forward to.
