LIGHT RAILWAYS.
LEGISLATION PROMISED MINISTERIAL STATEMENT. After referring in the Public Works Statement which was brought down in Parliament last night to the future of railway construction in this Dominion, the Minister of Railways definitely states that legislation will -be introduced this session to enable light railways of a less gauge than 3ft. 6in. to be constructed. .
