TARANAKI POLITICIANS CONFER.
MATTERS OF INTEREST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) STRATFORD, This Day. The first united conference of Taranaki members of Parliament for fourteen years was held at Stratford to discuss the most urgent needs of the province. It was unanimously decided to urge the Government to push on early with the completion of the Stratford-Okahukura and Te Roti-Moturoa railway lines, to reopen the Mount Egmont metal quarries, and to bridge the Mokau River.
