The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company report: At Ohinewai on Monday, 16th inst, we had a fair yarding of cattle. Fat cows made from £l2 to £l3, medium quality £lO 2s to £ll, three-year old steers £l2 10s, two-year steers £9 7s, extra choice yearling steers £7 Is to £7 13s, small calves (mixed sexes) £3, steers £4 6s, fresh-conditioned cows £9 10s to £9 16s, two-year empty heifers £7 3s, dairy cows (well forward) £l3 to £l6 10s, backward sorts £lO to £l2 10s, whole herd of 22 cows on account of Mr T. Fat cows made from £lO to £ll 10s, three and a-half to four year steers £l3 14s to £l4 Ss, three-year steers £ll 12s Gd to £l2 18s, Avo-year steers £lO 7s Gd to £lO 12s 6d, yearling steers £6 Ss, fresh-conditioned cows £8 to £S 6s, twenty months heifers in calf £7 10s, dairy cows (backward) £lO to £lO ss, two-tooth ewes in lamb 355, four to full mouth ewes in lamb 30s, sound mouth ewes 25s Gd to 20s, hoggets 17s. i MATAMATA SALE.

Messre Dalgety and Co. report :

We held our monthly sale at Matamata on Wednesday, ISth, when we had a good yarding, and bidding was brisk throughout. We quote : —Fat cows from £ll 5s to £l2 10s, store cows £7 to £9 ss, fifteen to eighteen months steers £9 11s, well-grown steer calves to £6 6s, mixed calves to £4 16s, dairy cows at profit to £l2, hoggets 22s Gd. CLEARING SALE.

We held a most successful clearing sale at Kihikihi on Wednesday on account of Mr W. Bowman, when dairy cows (second culvers) brought from £lO 15s to £l3 ss, backward cows £9 15s to £lO 12s Gd, choice springing heifers £l2 15s to £l4 2s 6d, backward heifers £9 to £ll 15s, mixed calves £4 15s to £5 7s Gd, heifer calves £4 5s to £4 17s 6d, eighteen months steers £8 15s to £9 ss, empty cows £7 5s to £S 17s 6d, light draught horses (aged) £29 ss, three and six years old horses £25 10s to £27 15s, light harness horses £7 5s to £9 10s.
