MEETING OF TE AWAMUTU CLUB. At a meeting of the committee of the Te Awamutu Tennis Club on Friday evening the following new members were elected: —Mrs Hooper, Misses M. Ahier, Bayly, B. Bayly, M. Griffith, H. liaswell, D. Miller, D. Olphert, M. and J. Teddy, and K. Wallace, and Mr D. Baxter. The resignation of Mr H. P. Semmens was accepted with regret. Consideration was given to the arrangements necessary for the official opening of the club’s courts at Victoria Park, which is to take place on Wednesday, Bth November. The arrangements were generally reviewed, and consideration was deferred until a subsequent meeting. It was, however, decided that no progressive tournament be held on the opening day, leaving the courts available for play by all players present.
