The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., reports : CAMBRIDGE SALE. We held our monthly stock sale at Cambridge on ; Monday, the 26th ult., when a very heavy yarding came forward, comprising 287 fat steers and cows, 653 stores, also bulls and springers. There was a large attendance of buyers, and nearly the whole entry changed hands. Prices: — Prime fat cows £9 5s to £lO 17s, good cows £7 ios to £8 18s, medium cows £6 13s to £7 2s 6d, cows in forward condition £5 16s to £6 Bs, fresh cows £4 15s to £5 12s, store cows £3 15s to £4 4s, fat steers £l2 6s to £l3, cows and calves £6 to £7 2s 6d, yearling steers and heifers £2 14s to £3 2s, 2-year-old empty Shorthorn heifers £4 5s to £4 14s, 18-months-old ditto £3 10s to £3 16s, seven purebred 2-year-old Shorthorn heifers from R. At Pio Pio on Thursday, 29th ult., there was a large muster of cattle, for which a good demand existed. Prices: —Fresh to for-ward-conditioned cows £4 12s to £5 los, 2% to 3-year-old steers £6 3s to £6 ios, 15-months-old steers £3 13s to £3 15s, yearling ditto £3 4s to £3 ss, springing heifers £4 lOs to £5 15s.
