POLICE COURT.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER. 14TH. (Before MESSRS G. RICHARDS and H. T. JONES, J.'sP.) DRUNKENNESS. A man named Charles Olsen was charged by the police (Constable Lander) with being drunk whilst in charge of a horse and vehicle, for which he was convicted and fined ss, or in default 48 hours' imprisonment. He was allowed two days in which to find the amount. Accused was further charged with resisting the constable in the execution of his duty, for which offence he was fined £2 and costs 7s, or in default 14 days' imprisonment with hard labour in Auckland gaol. Two days were allowed in which to pay the fine.

Accused agreed to a prohibition order being taken out against him fi r twelve months.
