Messrs Finlay Bros, have just imported a “ Dennis ” motor bus for'the service between the Te Awamutu railway station, _Te Awamutu, and Kihikihi and it is expected that this new bus will take up the running at an early date. The vehicle has been built to the special design of Messrs Finlay Bros., who have given all possible consideration to the requirements of the district. It has comfortable seating accommodation for twenty persons, though its carrying capacity will exceed that number. Covered in baggage accommodation is provided at the rear of the bus, and the overhead rack has been specially designed for the carriage of mails or moderately heavy baggage. The motive power is powerful, and the bus will readily negotiate any road grades in this district. In appearance the vehicle compares more than favourably by comparison, and will undoubtedly prove a decided acquisition to the district. It is intended for the passenger and luggage service between Kihikihi and the Railway Station, and, in addition to the comfort provided it will prove a considerable time saver for passengers. It is expected that the new motor service, which will mean the withdrawal of the firms horse drawn vehicles from the road, will be inaugurated early.
