SPORTING.
WAIPA RACING CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING.
All arrangements are completed in connection with the above race meeting, which fakes place tomorrow on the club's course'at "Green Hill." Acceptances for the various events compare well with those of previous years, and good racing will be witnessed. The secretary (Mr W. G. Abbott) and the committee have spared no pains to provide a good day's enjoyment for all. There will be no cattle sale at the local yards, thus giving farmers an oppottunity.to attend the races. As stated in our last issue, the proceeds of the meeting are to be devoted to the Patriotic Fund. Conveyances will run to and from the course : during the day. The first race is timed to start at 12.45 p.m. ACCEPTANCES. Following are the acceptances for to-morrow's meeting : Te Awamutu Cup, one mile — Lady Dot and Valentine 9.12, Sir Rupert 9.11, St. Helena 9.7, Poictiers 9-5> Rosea, Otaraia, and Succession 9.0. "Green Hill" Handicap, four and a half furlongs—St Helena 10.5, Starket 9.10, Glideaway 9.8, Te Mata and Irish Linen 9.6, Chandon, Sea Foam, El Gallo, Kaokaka,' Pierrepont, and Lady Lobelia 9.5, Waiomu and Tango 9.2. Ohaupo Maiden Handicap, five furlongs and a half —St. Helena (not yet handicapped),Union Jack 10.2, Starket 9.10, Glideaway 9.8, Te Mata, Irish Linen, Kawaii 9.6, El Gallo and Pierrepont 9.5, Patrica and Lady Lobelia 9.2. Maiden Trot Handicap, one mile.—Roto Manuku scratch, Teddy McKinney ss, Myrtle G, Doris Salisbury, Solon Dillon 6s, Levuka 7s, Armena, Lancelot, Mona Salisbury, Miss Waipuna,. Prince Akwood, Dido, Roseate Bs, Kawhatea 9s, Ngapuhi, Master Salisbury, Miss Tui 10s. Handicap Trot, one mile and a half.—Ghoam scratch, Teddy McKinney 18s, Myrtle G, Doris Salisbury 19s, Levuka 2is, Armena, Mona Salisbury, Dido 225. Hunters' Handicap Hurdles, one mile and a-half. —pkaihau 11.12, Curearue 11.5, 'Blarney Stone, Kawau, Killorn 10.5, Beauty'lo.3, Tangitua 10.0. Hunters' Plate Handicap, one mile and a-quarter. —Celebrity, Killorn, Union Jack, Beauty, Curearua, Blarney Stone, Lady Lobelia, brown gelding by Loch, Ness—Scotch Mist.
