TAUTARI.

(Own Correspondent.)

The settlers have decided taj purchase a piano for the hall, and are placing the order with Mr F. J. Gilbert, of Te. Awamutu. It is expected to arrive here next week, if it can be brought over the road, which is in a bad state. The settlers intend turning out next Monday to make some repairs to the road, and a public meeting of all interested in road affairs is to be held in the Tautari hall to consider the advisability of joining a county.

Mr Ewen, the ranger, has visited us again, and has expressed great satisfaction with the progress of the settlement.
