WAIPA HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the above association took place in the Cosmopolitan club room on Saturday evening. Present: —Messrs S. A. Empson (chairman), L. G. North, W. Douglas (Rovers); W. H. Johns, L. N. Allright (Waratahs); Graham Johnstone, S. Jephson (Paterangi); L. Peat, J. Owen (Pirongia). The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the secretary (Mr J. Duncan).

Outward and inward correspondence was dealt with.

It was decided that the first games of the second round for the Empson Cup take place on Wednesday, 24th June, and that the following Wednesday a match be arranged between an A and B team, with a view to selecting a representative team to proceed to Auckland to take part in the competition for the White Horse Cup. The names of likely players were submitted to take part in the A and B team, and these will be published later.
