The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report : NGARUAWAHIA SALE. On May Bth, we held our annual Ngaruawahia sale of stock for turnip stocking, when we yarded 1741 sheep and 1756 head cattle. Included in the latter were 917 well-bred fresh-condi-tioned bullocks, three years old and upwards, and we do not know that we ever yarded a better line. There was keen competition right through, and the whole entry was disposed of. Bullocks were making about the same value as last year, and look particularly good buying on the present outlook. Wethers were 7s 6ct to 10s above last year's values. Young cattle generally sold well. Forward to fat bullocks, four years, made £9 to £lO 2s 6d, well-bred 3% year steers £7 ios to £8 17s, choice 3 year steers £6 15s to £7 lis, 2% to 3 year steers £5 15s to £6 6s, store 2 to 2% year steers £4 ios to £4 16s, 18 months steers £3 10s to £4, fat cows £5 5 s to £8 2s 6d, fresh conditioned empty cows £4 10s to £5 18s, store cows £3 lis to £4 ss, good calves 35s to 465, small sorts 30s to 355, dairy cows £4 lOs to £6 lOs, springing heifers £5 lOs, fat wethers 25s 6d to 295, fresh conditioned wethers 22s 6d to 23s 6d, fat ewes 21 s, store empty ewes I2s 4d to 15s sd, ewes in lamb 16s Id, Romney ewes in lamb 225, hoggets 9s to Us Bd. TE AWAMUTU SALE.
At our usual Te Awamutu sale we had a small entry of beef, but a full yarding of store cattle. There was a good inquiry for cattle, and we sold the whole varding. Fat cows sold from £5 lOs to £7, fresh-conditioned 2 l / 2 year steers £6 lOs, 2%-y ear steers £5 14s to £6 is, 18-month steers £4 2s to £4 ios. store cows £3 5s to £4, cows and calves £4 15s to £5 ißs, 18-month empty heifers £2 17s to £3, steer calves 35s to £2 3s, mixed calves 25s to 345, heifers in calf £4 lOs to £5 ss, weaner pigs 28s, shorn lambs lis 6d. MORRINSVILLE SALE. At Morrinsville yards on May Bth, we had a full yarding of stock, 1089 sheep, 727 head of cattle, and a fair amount of sundries. There was enquiry for all classes of stock, and in most cases keen competition ; consequently the whole yarding was disposed of at advanced prices. Fat ewes 18s to 245, fat wethers 22s 6d to 25s 6d, store empty ewes, aged, lis to 15s Bd, aged ewes in lamb 15s 9d, hoggets 13s 2d to 15s 7d, fat.steers, medium weights, £9 17s to £lO 14s, light weights £7 16s to £8 12s 6d, fat cows £5 2s 6d
