RANOIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the above took place at the Board’s office on Saturday last. Present: Messrs D. Cavanagh (chairman), Storey, Long, McGhie, F. Bowden, and the Board’s engineer, W. H. Mandeno.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed
STOREY’S BRIDGE,
The engineer reported that owing to the original contractor being unable to proceed with the work, he was obliged to engage another man to carry on the work, which was proceeding satisfactorily. UNVEILING CEREMONY. Mr J. B. Teasdale waited on the Board in reference to their co-operation with other local bodies in assisting with the arrangements in 'connection with the unveiling of the Orakau monument on April Ist. He had been asked to bring the matter before the Board. A day would be fixed when the various local bodies would meet and discuss the matter. —It was decided that the members attend the meeting of delegates to be held. CLEARING ROAD. J. Corrigan wrote drawing the attention of the Board to the road leading to his property, and asking the Board to have it cleared of noxious weeds, tea-tree, etc. — The chairman considered owners should cut the blackberries. The Board would undertake to cut the tea-tree. The matter was left in the hands of the chairman to deal with. REMOVING FENCE. Mr T.
