CAMBRIDGE v.TE AWAMUTU
Three rinks of bowlers from
the Cambridge Club motored to Te Awamutu on Wednesday and played a match with the local club at Victoria Park. The games were most interesting and were evenly contested, Cambridge being the victors by a narrow margin of one point. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies, which was greatly appreciated, the weather being exceptionally warm. The following are the detailed scores:—

Mr Jay, vice-president of the Cambridge club, thanked the Te Awamutu players for the enjoyable afternoon's sport, and cheers were also given for the ladies, who provided afternoon tea. Mr G. Gifford congratulated the visitors on winning and hoped tnat future games between the two clubs would always prove as enjoyable.
A match for the Bartleet badges took place at the club's green on Wednesday, Irvine and Lander playing VileandDouglas, the latter being defeated after a close contest by two points. The scores were 26 —24.
