EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE.
The euchre party and dance held on Wednesday evening in the Town Hall, under the auspices of the Te Awamutu Tennis Club was fairly well attended. About fifteen tables were occupied, and play proceeded until close on 10 o'clock, after which the prizes were awarded to the successful competitors by Mr A. C. Cruickshank, president of the club. Miss Masters was awarded the ladies' prize, and Mr Smith was successful in winning most games in the gentlemen's division. The consolation prizes were won by Miss C. Kirkham and Mr M. Wells.
The hall was thfn cleared for dancing which was indulged in till midnight. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr W. H. Johns. An excellent supper had been provided by the ladies, which was done ample justice to. Splended dance music was supplied by Mrs Black.
