Arrangements in connection with the Croquet Club’s Conversazione to be held in the local Town Hall on Wednesday, 24th February, are proceeding apace, and there is every indication that this will be a most popular and enjoyable function. Considerable interest centres in the art union for valuable oil paintings which is to be drawn on the evening of the conversazione. This function is being arranged with a view to providing funds for the erection of a new pavilion at Victoria Park—a worthy object that will doubtless appeal to all.
