TE AWAMUTU TERMINATING BUILDING SOCIETY.
The first sale of £3op in connection with the above society took place at the Oddfellows’ hall on Wednesday evening. There was a fair attendance of members, the chairman of directors, Mr M. C. Lawson, presiding. The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed, the chairman stated
that some nine tenders had been received, the amount tendered ranging from £7O to £lO5. The £3OO was allotted to the
holder of shares No. 458 and 459, as being the highest tenderer.
The chairman stated that since the previous'ballot several new shares had been taken up, and he hoped members would use their endeavours to induce others to join the society. Their first sale had proved a most successful one, having added £lO5 to the credit of the society’s funds.
