GIRLS’ CLUB.
On Tuesday evening a very pleasant and enjoyable time was spent by the members of the Girls’ Club and their friends at the Town Hall. There were fully fifty people present. During the evening those present were invited to give the solution of twenty-four questions relating to a sixpepce. This caused a great deal of amusement and competition. Mr Battson was successful in guessing nineteen of the questions, while Mrs Battson succeeded in solving eighteen. The prizes were presented by Mrs (Dr) Reekie. Miss I. Mclntosh, on behalf of the members of the club, thanked the president, Miss Stewart, for the kindly interest she had taken in the welfare of the club, her help and advice being greatly appreciated by the members. Miss Stewart suitably responded. Musical items were rendered by Miss F. Rickit and Mr G. Galloway. A most enjoyable supper was handed round and. a very pleasant evening terminated.
