The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: OPARAU SALE. At Oparau on Friday we held our opening sale. There was a large attendance, but prices asked by sellers were in most cases in advance of Waikato rates and a good deal of stock was passed in. We : quote : —Fat wethers 25s forward wethers 20s, hoggets, small, I2s 3d, three-year steers, forward £6 -15 s, springing heifers £4 ios to £6 15s, two and a half year steers £5 ss, yearling steers £3. TE AWAMUTU SALE. On Saturday, at Te Awamutu, we held our monthly stock sale. Competition was brisk for all classes except yearlings, which were dull of sale. Springing heifers made £6 to £7 T 5 S > i n_ ferior sorts £5 to £5 7 s 6d, fat steers £lO ios, fat cows £6 to £6 i 05, 2 22 to 3-year steers £5 9s, 18-months to 2-year steers £4 ios, yearling steers £3, store cows £4 3s, fat and forward hoggets 13s 6d, pigs, weaners 17s 6d to 225. CLEARING SALES. At Te Rapa, on Saturday, we held a clearing sale on account of Mr W. Bowman. There was a good attendance and competition was keen, his herd of 31 cows averaging £8 15s, making from £4 Iss to £ls ios. This season’s calves made 14s, disc plough £9 ss, disc harrows £9, furniture, implements, and sundries at usual rates.
On Monday, 29th inst., we held a clearing sale on account of F. Storey, Whatawhata. There was a large attendance of buyers, and everything sold at satisfactory prices. Fat cows sold at £6 6s, forward cows £4 6s to £5 s s , store cows £3 15s, 2-year empty heifers £4 ios, yearling heifers £3 12s, ewes and lambs 22s 6d,fat hoggets 15s, Jersey cows Jersey heifers Ilgns to l6gns, draught geldings £3B to £4O, draught mares £36, hunter £3O, buggy £33, buggy geldings £42, farm implements and furniture at satisfactory rates.

We held our hogget fair and cattle sale at Ohaupo on Tuesday, 23rd inst., when we had 2350 hoggets and a full yarding of cattle. A total clearance of hoggets was affected, but cattle were rather dull of sale. Prices: Best woolly hoggets 17s 3d to 18s qd, medium 14s 3d to 16s 6d, others I is to 13s, 4-tooth wethers £l, fat ewes £l 4s 7d, 2%-year old steers £4 12s 6d to £5, 18 months to 2-year old heifers £3 lSsto£3i9s, forward and killable cows £4 Ils to £5 15s, springing heifers sold at advanced rates from £6 I2s 6d to £8 10s, dairy cows £7 5s to £8 7s 6d. 20th inst., when 820 head of cattle including 45 fat steers and 40 fat cows were yarded; also 140 springers. Prices: Fat steers £9 15s to £lO Ks, lighter weights £8 5s to £8 .15s, old steers in forward condition £7 5 s to £7 I2s 6d, fat cows £6 15s to £7 17s 6d, killable cows £5 7s _6d to £5 10s, cows in fresh condition £4 7s to £5, store cows £3 7s. to £3 16s, 18 months old heifers £3 ios to £3 15s, mixed yearlings £2 los to £3, springing heifers £6 ios to £8 ss, dairy cows £6 5s to £9, store pigs £1 6s to £2, slips 18s to £l fs, weaners 15s.

We held our monthly sale in the above yards on Friday, 19th inst., when we yarded 490 head of cattle also a few sheep. There was a fair attendance of buyers and we disposed of a fair amount of the stock offered.
