Poultry came forward this week in heavy supplies to a good market and prices ruled high. Pigs, market firmer. Fruit arriving in good quantities to a steady market. Eggs are short and firmer. Butter, market easier. Potatoes arriving in large quantities to,a falling market. We quote: — Poultry. roosters, prime, 4s to 4s Bd, good 3s 2d to 3s Bd, small 2s 3d to 2s iod, hens 2s 8d to 3s iod. A choice line of pullets from Mercer realised 4s to 5s 7d. Ducks, prime, 3s 4d to 4s 6d ; ordinary 2s 3d to 3s, geese 4s 2d to 6s 4d, turkey gobblers 7s 3d to Tis 9d, hens 4s iod to 6s gd, ducklings is to is Bd.
Pigs 12s 3d to £1 5s 6d. Market firm, advise consignments.
