CROQUET CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Croquet Club took place in the public library rooms yesterday afternoon. There were present: Mesdames Clarke, W. Taylor, F. Bowden, E. I. Miller, C. F. Battson, and Miss B. C. Stewart (secretary). The annual report and balancesheet were read and adopted, the latter showing a credit-balance. Officers. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:— Patron, Mrs W. Taylor ; president, Mrs E. I. Miller : vice-presid-ents, Mesdames H. Y. Collins and W. Jeffery ; secretary, Miss B. C. Stewart; caretaker, Mr J. Blackburn ; committee, Mesdames F. Bowden, Walters, Battson and Reekie, all of whom were unanimously elected. It was proposed that Dr Reekie be asked to again take the position of green superintendent. The members present expressed their appreciation of the efforts of the caretaker.
A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the secretary for the manner in which she had carried out her duties during the past year.
It was resolved that the secretary write and ask the bowling club for the use of the small green on the same terms as last vear.
