WAIPA RUGBY UNION.
A meeting of the above Union took place last evening in the Cosmopolitan club room, Mr H. Worthington being in the chair.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was read from Mr A. S.-Gresham, secretary Maniapoto Rugby Union, stating that as they would be sending a team to Rotorua on the I2th instant, it would be a difficult matter to get a team away to visit Te Awamutu on the iQth instant, and asking if it • would not be possible for Waipa Rugby Union to send a team to Te Kuiti on that date, which visit would be returned at a later date. —It was decided to reply that the Union regrets being unable to see its way to send a team to Te Kuiti on the iqth instant.
Mr A. G. Price, secretary of the Hamilton Rugby Union, wrote asking if it was possible to send a junior team to play Hamilton next Saturday.—lt was resolved that the Union accept the challenge provided that the match be arranged to take place early to enable the team to return home by the train leaving Frankton at 4 P-m. Mr C. Macky was appointed referee for next Saturday's match, Te Awamutu v. United. It was resolved that the Waipa Union affiliate with the South Auckland Rugby Union. ' It was decided that a match between A and B teams be arranged to take place on 19th inst. Mr J. Edwards moved, and Mr West seconded, that a bell be used by the time-keeper at all future matches.
