Dr Reekie, in congratulating the club on the success which had attended the past year’s efforts, said that it was not looked upon as a sports club, but one that might be called upon at any time to help in defending our country, and as such was well worthy of the support which it had received. The success of the club was in a large measure due to Mr W. Taylor, who had granted the use of his ground for a rifle range. The thanks of the club was also due to the donors of the trophies, and to the following ladies’ committee : Mesdames Blythe, Lenehan, Edfjßumbe and Bartleet. An adjournment was made to the supper-room where full justice was done to the good things provided. An enjoyable dance followed, about 60 couple taking part. Excellent music was supplied by MrG.
