There was a very large attendance on Wednesday night at the third series of our Euchre Socials which arc held every alternate Wednesday. Everything went off splendidly, and the Social proved a great success. Progressive Euchre occupied fourteen tables, from eight p.lll. until ten p.m, when the floor was speedily cleared for dancing. Mr Bob. Henderson, winning eleven games out of the twelve played, won the gentlemen’s prize; Miss May Verner, with ten games, won the ladies’ trophv, the “boobies” being secured by Miss O’Brien and Mr McDonald. Supper was served at II p.m. and made a welcome interlude, and then dancing was continued until the early hours of the morning. We were very pleased to see so many visitors from Te Awamutu. Very shortly we hope to have a dance in aid of our newly-formed tennis club, when we trust our Te Awamutu friends will again turn up and help us to make as great a success as they did of the recent entertainment.
