THE FOLLIES.

A fairly good house greeted the first appearance of The Follies Costume Comedy Company of Entertainers at the Town Hall last evening. From the opening chorus to the tuneful and picturesque finale there was not a dull moment. Mr Percy Clifton, character comedian, kept the audience amused, being ably assisted by Mr Clifford O’Keefe and Mr G. Branson. The dancing of the Lusanne sisters was greatly appreciated, while the various songs, duets, quartettes and choruses were well received, and numerous encores were demanded. Miss Cissy O’Keefe’s rich contralto voice was heard to advantage in the songs “Caller Herrin ” and “ The Toilers.” The whole performance was new, well-balanced, crisp and refined.
