The annual meeting of householders was held on Monday night in the Council chambers for the purpose of electing a committee for the forthcoming year. About forty residents were present. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted, the latter showing a credit balance of £1 4s id. From numerous candidates the follow-
ing cor were elected: — Messrs . .. C. egowath, chairman, 1, .. secretary and
treasurer, M. Quealey, G. T. Mills, J. Stirling, R. McCardle, and C. Cullen.
