WAIKATO WEST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

A meeting of commissioners from the Waikato Presbytery and office bearers of the charge took place last night in the local Presbyterian church to consider the advisability of dividing the present Waikato West charge. The Rev. White of Waihi presided. Delegates from the various districts were also present. After a somewhat lengthy discussion the following proposals were submitted to a subsequent meeting of the congregation—and approved : Allocation of Districts.

It was considered that the districts be divided into three charges, namely Te Awamutu, Kihikihi, and Paterangi.

Finance

It was proposed to ask for authority to sell the Manse property, the proceeds to be allocated as follows Te Awamutu to receive oni-third. Paterangi one-third, the balance to be held in trust for Kihikihi until such time as the latter should see fit to erect a Manse. It was decided that the following grants be applied for : —Kihikihi £4O, Te Awamutu £3O, Paterangi £3O. A committee, consisting of one member from each district was appointed to meet and arrange the financial matters in connection with the disposal of the manse property. These recommendations will be submitted to a meeting of the Waikato Presbytery at Hamilton to-day for confirmation.
