PATERANGI.

(Own Correspondent)

A meeting of the school committee and residents of the Paterangi district was held in the hall on Friday evening, the business being to arrange for the holding of the annual school picnic. The secretary read the report and balance sheet of last year which showed a small credit balance. It was decided to hold the picnic at Mr Fred. Ryburn's farm on Friday February 28th. A very strong committee with Mr H. Webb as secretary and treasurer was formed, so that given a fine day, the children should have a good day's outing, and if the older people will only show the same interest as the children, this should eclipse all previous gateerings.
